Ventilation assessments
On-site assessments of ventilation systems and ventilation issues
Ensure your building is operating as it should
Air quality monitoring
For gases, vapours, or particles in air, instrumentation and/or laboratory analysis can determine if a hazard is present, and if so, at what concentration in air. While many of these measurements are performed for certification under LEED, WELL, NABERS, or other voluntary programs, all buildings can benefit from an audit of building performance.
Prezant is certified as a WELL AP. WELL Assessor, & is a member of the WELL Air Quality advisory.
Measuring ventilation
Using traditional air monitoring instrumentation, our technicians can establish if a building is operating as intended by design, and if that design is appropriate for the current occupancy and environmental conditions.
Through direct measurement of airflow or using tracer gases, Prezant Environmental can provide a performance test in residential or commercial spaces, and determine effective air changes. Tracer gases used in this manner provide a true performance test of a ventilation system’s ability to bring in outdoor air and distribute it to the breathing zone, and is the gold standard for establishing “ventilation”. Our tracer technology can also be utilised to track movement of air containing odours from one location to another within a building, and solve seemingly difficult cases of unusual odours.
WELL accredited practitioner, performance testing agent, and advisory board member
Mr. Prezant has been certified by the International WELL Building Institute as an AP, and accredited testing agent. Air testing often involves measurement of several air quality parameters, including volatile organic chemicals, formaldehyde, PM10 and PM2.5, and other indicators of proper air quality.
Case Studies - Solving Difficult or Unsuspected Problems
Proper introduction of outdoor air, proper distribution via supply diffusers, calibration of sensors, and proper pressurisation of buildings are keys to a healthy and well-ventilated indoor space. Prezant can, often in one short visit, identify vulnerable aspects of the ventilation system strategy.
